Their top-secret files are arranged alphabetically from A to Z, and each entry includes information on the creature’s height, weight, description, an interesting fact, and a danger level. Some of the cryptids are even given superlatives, such as the Agogwe being the “hairiest monster” and the Sheepsquatch being the “smelliest”. This book is a great resource for younger elementary school children, as the illustrations are bright and approachable rather than spooky. A full-page map at the end of the book shows each monster superimposed on its country of origin, and the spokesperson and primary narrator is a blue-haired, tan-skinned child with ponytails. This book is sure to be a hit with kids who are interested in mythical creatures from around the world.
