A serenely illustrated book with no clear story line.

On the distant planet of Venesha, two sisters, Rika and Jari, love to explore the northern forest. One day, while playing hide-and-seek, Rika discovers a kitten hidden in a hollow log. She calls out to her sister, and Jari appears from behind a tree. The two sisters are concerned for the kitten, wondering where its mother is. The picture book is a gentle story, but it does not provide a resolution that ties the narrative together. The illustrations are done in twilight blues and purples, which reflect the feeling of being lost, and the characters are depicted in warmer tones. Despite the lack of a satisfying conclusion, the story of the alien girl and her unexpected new friend is still a sweet one.
